  • Why can't you be normal for once in your life? From a problem with no name to a new category of disability.

Articles about being the child of an AS mother

  • When Cassandra was very very young: An article first published in the Jessica Kingsley Anthology "Is anybody listening?" ed Karen Rodman.

  • The Old Woman of the Sea: Growing up with a parent with Asperger's Syndrome
This article has as its central metaphor the Arabian Nights tale of Sinbad the Sailor's encounter with the Old Man of the Sea, and represents my first attempt to understand the family mystery of my mother's odd and cruel behaviour. I began it in 1995 when information on AS was scant.

Articles identifying as AS

  • Travel with us in Parallel Space. An invitation: A preface to "Women from Another Planet" an anthology of autobio-graphical articles written by women on the Autistic Spectrum, edited by Jean Kearns Miller. In this article I identify more with my AS traits and the discrimination I and other women on the Autistic spectrum have encountered
